Site Notes
There are sixteen displays of fossils and dinosaur skeleton casts. The displays are spread throughout the main campus building. The dinosaur skeletons are life-size casts. The other displayed fossils are the real thing. The dinosaurs include a tricetatops, T-rex, and plesiosaur. The real fossils include fish. Also inside the building is a natural history museum with displays on John Wesley Powell, dinosaur eggs, and coal mining. You'll find a Foucault Pendulum on display and the T-Rex cafeteria. There is also a wildlife museum that was closed when we visited.
There is no gift shop, but the campus book store is inside this building.
Rachel’s Favorite
I enjoyed the plesiosaur skeleton - since most dinosaurs I've seen in museums are land dwellers, this water dwelling dino was a treat.
Paul’s Favorite
I like big dinosaurs. The T-rex inside the cafeteria is nicely done.
