Site Notes
The museum has around 90 aircraft on display (it looked like more to me), inside and outside. There's a model of the Wright Flyer all the way to a B-1 bomber and SR-71. Some of the airplanes are divided into World War I and World War II displays. Most aircraft are Air Force, but we also saw some Navy and a few Soviet MiG fighters.
There were also several mission briefing rooms to look into, a WASP display that recognizes the help women gave to our country during World War II, and a pilot uniform display. In addition, we saw our first link trainer at this museum and there is a room for aviation education, which house displays on flight, lift, and aircraft control. There are several flight simulators, including two built into aircraft cockpits. The Lindquist Gallery contains paintings of aircraft, with pins displayed in cases and plastic aircraft models nearby.
There’s a gift shop with aeronautically related items, like leather jackets, airplane toys, models, books, videos, postcards, coffee mugs, and pins. We also found airplane earrings.

I really enjoyed the military uniform display. There were pilot uniforms from different countries and different time periods. My favorite part of the display were the headpiece parts of the uniforms because they demonstrated most the technology that was developed over time for pilots in combat. The WASP display for the female pilots was also a treat.

Without a doubt I loved the SR-71. That's just one beautiful airplane. I would have liked to see more space related stuff, but they do have a few missile displays.
